Beyond the city centre, Greater Manchester is padel country: nine indoor courts at Deuce in a Rochdale mill, eight at Just Padel Bolton, eleven at The Padel Club next to the Trafford Centre, and covered courts across Atherton, Bury, Cheadle, Stockport and Wigan. Covered and indoor courts outnumber open ones, which suits the climate.
Prices verified October 2026Manchester · 9 indoor · 2 outdoor
Eleven courts beside the Trafford Centre, nine of them indoor and five with game cameras that record your match, for better or worse. Off-peak courts are £36 an hour, peak £48.
Manchester · 3 outdoor
Three outdoor courts at the Trafford City club on Barton Embankment, a short drive from the Trafford Centre. Included in membership and booked in the app.
Rochdale · 9 indoor
Nine premium indoor courts in a converted Rochdale mill, which makes Deuce one of the largest padel venues in the North West. The mill used to make cotton; now it makes excuses for missed volleys.
Bolton · 8 indoor
Eight indoor courts including a panoramic show court in central Bolton, with changing rooms and showers.
Bolton · 4 covered
Four new covered courts at Powerleague's Leverhulme Park centre, with a clubhouse for food and drinks afterwards. Babolat rackets hire for £3.
Altrincham · 2 outdoor
Two high-spec courts overlooking the first tee and 18th green at Dunham Forest, £40 an hour for the court and bookable for up to two hours. Visitors are welcome in the clubhouse afterwards.
Stockport · 4 covered · 2 outdoor
Four covered courts and two open-air courts with a clubhouse on George's Road, playable year-round.
Cheadle · 4 covered · 1 outdoor
Four covered courts, including a covered centre court, plus an outdoor court at Heald Green, close to Manchester Airport. Rackets hire for £3.
Atherton · 4 covered
A brand-new venue with four covered courts at Crilly Park, built for year-round play in a part of Greater Manchester that knows a thing or two about rain.
Oldham · 3 indoor
Two indoor doubles courts and a singles court on Park Road, Oldham's dry answer to the Pennine weather.
Bury · 2 covered
Two covered, floodlit padel courts at a busy tennis club near Ramsbottom, with pay-and-play booking through ClubSpark. Covered courts in the Pennine foothills are not a luxury; they are the whole point.
Wigan · 3 covered
Three covered outdoor courts inside Wigan Sports Club, a short walk from the town centre. Covered in Wigan is a sensible design choice, not an indulgence.
Middleton · 4 outdoor
Four courts at the Manchester North club on Heywood Old Road, one of the bigger David Lloyd padel sites in the north west. Members only.
